About
I am Bud Jayawardhana, an engineer and entrepreneur in Melbourne.
For years I have carried around designs for things I will probably never build myself. So I am writing them down, drawing how they would work, and leaving them for whoever comes next.
Unbuilt Folio is my notebook, published. Each folio is one concept: a plate that shows the mechanism, notes in the margin, and an honest account of the numbers and the obstacles.

How to read a folio
- The drawing is the argument. Start with the plate. The text supports it.
- Every number is rough. They show scale, not a business case. Corrections are welcome.
- These are proposals. Borrow them, argue with them, or tell me who is already building one.
